Coping or Conquering – Which One Are You Doing?

Written by Kiwi Champ and is filed under the Category: "Negative Mindsets"

Tweet thisThere are all too many people in this world that spend their lives trying to cope with life’s challenges and crisis. They are so consumed with just coping, that they forget that they were created to conquer, not just cope in life.

So what does it mean to cope? The dictionary gives several meanings which include “get by, make it, put up with it”.

The word “cope” is actually a very negative word. It is synonymous with resign. The resigned person has usually given up in at least one area of his/her life. You will hear a resigned person say things like:

  • Well I tried to make a change, but it did not work, now I will just have to grin and bear it.
  • We will just have to cut down on some things. I think we will make it.
  • Well I guess I will just have to put up with it, what else can I do? (Have you heard someone say something similar to this lately? I have.)

OK:
** We may be facing difficult times as far as the economy goes.
** We may be facing difficulties in family relationships, work relationships, with friends or foes.
** We may be facing many impossibilities and obstacles that seem to be holding us back from realizing our dreams.

BUT

We ALWAYS have a choice! We are born to conquer!

Are you focused on coping or conquering?

A famous evangelist you may well have heard of, Oral Roberts, often proclaimed in his preaching:

You can’t go under for going over!

Are you focused on going over? Or are you struggling with fears that you will go under?

That can be you! You can live a life that is so focused on conquering it has no time for defeat. It depends on you! You may find yourself having to make a choice many times a day. The choice will be:

Am I going to resign to this situation? Or am I going to find a way to conquer it or in spite of it?

What is your answer? Your answer is the first step in the direction of your choice.

It takes faith to conquer. Here is an excellent book that will help you turn your live around to focus on conquering in every area of your life.

The Everyday Visionary Change Your Mind, Change Your Life.
As Jesse says:, “Somebody is going to succeed…why not you?”

Jesse explores such topics as:
* The amazing power of your God given human imagination.
* The strategic power of “determined” thoughts
* What to do if you feel it’s too late for your dream. (Good news here)
* Use the magnetic power of words to draw in what you know is yours.
* How to overcome discouragement
* What are the “Greatest Weaknesses” and “Destiny Killers”

You Too Can Be A Champion!

During the month of February I will be looking deeper into this theme of coping or conquering and we will be discussing some creative ways to conquer no matter what life throws at us!
